Strada Named a 2025 Twilio AI Startup Searchlight Honoree

Awarded for practical, scalable voice automation

We’re honored to share that Strada has been selected as one of Twilio’s 20 honorees in the 2025 AI Startup Searchlight Awards, chosen from more than 750 applicants. This recognition highlights our work helping insurance organizations modernize their phone-based operations with practical, reliable voice AI.

The Searchlight program was created to spotlight companies using AI and communications to improve real customer interactions. This year’s judging panel included leaders from Twilio’s product, engineering, and AI teams, as well as representatives from Andreessen Horowitz, OpenAI, and IDC. 

Their focus was clear: AI that is deployed, dependable, and already delivering measurable results in industries where communication plays a critical role, including insurance.

What We Do

Strada builds AI phone agents for insurance carriers, MGAs, and brokers. Our agents support customer service, claims, and sales 24/7, with fast, accurate responses and no hold time.

Insurance runs on conversations, and most of those conversations begin on the phone. Many are repetitive, time-sensitive, and operationally expensive. Our platform turns those calls into automated, structured workflows, including:

  • Policy servicing → Answering common questions with no wait times

  • Quote intake → Gathering the required information so producers can focus on closing

  • First Notice of Loss (FNOL) → Capturing claim details in real time

  • Renewals → Reaching insureds quickly and consistently to increase retention

Our system is built specifically for insurance. It understands industry terminology, extracts and verifies key data, triggers CRM workflows, sends follow-ups via SMS or email, and includes testing tools designed to prevent E&O exposure.

Our platform relies on Twilio’s infrastructure to deliver consistent, high-quality communication experiences at scale. Twilio highlighted several aspects of our work:

  • 24/7 claims handling through AI agents

  • Use of Twilio’s Programmable Voice API for scalable inbound and outbound calling

  • Answering Machine Detection to improve retry performance

  • Messaging API capabilities to collect evidence and follow-up documentation via SMS

  • Automation of communication workflows that previously required significant manual effort
